Go ahead, laugh. I was testing out the flash on our camera and was going for the Marc Jacobs ad "look." The rest of the photos were even more cheesy and unworthy of being posted, but the Hubby found them to be hilarious.

I sense a DIY project coming up, now that I'm feeling a bit more confident with the sewing machine...

A family affair
Witnessed my cousin Teddy get hitched this past Saturday and celebrated with my massive, crazy family.
My cousin Sarah is amazingly talented. She made her own dress, along with the wedding prints, decor and candy buffet. Watch out, Martha Stewart!!
The photobooth was the best part, I highly recommend Red Cheese Photo Booth, just ask Paris Hilton, she knows ; )
I love my family, being around them is always a pick-me-upper. Family knows you the best, yet they still love you for who you truly are.

A friend loves at all times. -Proverbs 17:17
Had a post Vday brunch with my god-daughter at Rialto Cafe in Fullerton, a cute little cafe with a big-city feel in a small town. They played old Marilyn Monroe films behind the old school bar, making you feel as though you're living in the 50s. The photos below should speak for themselves on the darling decor! The food was quite tasty, perhaps I will return for a cup of coffee and some good conversations.
I decided to channel the 70s that day with my neutral top which needs more mileage and pale blue flares + wedges. It was a total coincidence that I matched the stairs/railing that day, which made for a nice photo opp!
Waiting for the right occasion to pop open this aesthetically pleasing bottle of Rosé wine by Sofia Coppola.
Over the past several years, I've been noticing that the age range of friends I have vary from high school through 40s. I wouldn't say any of them are any less valued as a friend because they are older or younger. Each person has something unique and special to offer, as we all have been through different life experiences. Age is just a number, and should never be used to judge a person's heart or character. True friendships extend beyond barriers and break down walls...and good friends are hard to come by these days.

Pre-Vday mini-vacay.
Vintage blazer from Mom, F21 sheer blouse, Mossimo skirt, Nordstrom dotted tights, Carlos pumps, vintage bag
I went on a mini getaway with the Hubby as a pre-Vday celebration. Though he was sick as a puppy, we managed to get a ton of rest and restoration, as well as filling our tummies with yummy food at our favorite San Luis Obispo joints.
Surprise tickets from the Hubby to see Swan Lake at Cal Poly SLO!
Avila Beach, San Luis Obispo
Delightful apple dumpling a la mode at Apple Farm.
Some other great spots we frequent in San Luis Obispo:
Splash Cafe - great for their award-winning clam chowder, seafood salad, pastries & more!
Firestone Grill - they make a mean tri-tip sandwich - buttered toasty bun w. juicy slabs of tri-tip immersed in their homemade bbq sauce
Madonna Inn - Go there for the over-the-top kitsch decor, which will transport you back to the 60s. Their cafe has much eye candy, with huge slices of pink cake decked with white chocolate shavings and more.
Goodwill Outlet - We discovered this place on a whim. They literally charge you clothing by the pound and records are .50 each, amazing.
Antique Shops - Scattered all throughout the Downtown San Luis Obispo area.
Avila Beach - Our favorite spot, and coincidentally, a vacay spot I grew up going to as a kid.
Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab - Located in the tiny downtown area of Arroyo Grande, they serve old fashion ice-cream in numerous flavors, as well as ice cream demos for kids & adults alike.
